If you had the opportunity, would you change something about your smile? Most people would. As we grow older, the appearance of our smiles can decline. Stains, discoloration, a chipped or broken tooth, teeth that have wide gaps or that are unusually worn can all detract from the ability to smile with confidence. Fortunately, Dr. Orban has a solution. With porcelain veneers in Coeur d'Alene, he can cover any number and combination of cosmetic flaws so your smile is once again the stuff of dreams!
Reveal Your Smile with Porcelain Veneers
What are porcelain veneers? Only one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry treatments around and for good reasons. With these micro-thin sheaths of fine dental porcelain, Dr. Orban can completely alter the look of your smile. Each small veneer is adhesively bonded to the facial side of the tooth for which it was custom designed. Whether you need a veneer to cover up a single tooth or an entire row to create a picture perfect smile, Dr. Orban delivers!
Receiving Porcelain Veneers in Coeur d'Alene
Dr. Orban takes the lead in providing you with a custom-designed smile. He will meet with you to talk about what imperfections you want to cover and the smile you want to have. You may find that it’s helpful to bring photos of friends, family and even celebrities with smiles you aspire to enjoy, too. We’ll also need to clean your teeth and check for signs of decay or gum disease, both of which will need to be addressed before we begin the process of placing veneers. Once your oral health is assured, you’re on your way to having a beautiful smile!
Before your veneers can be placed, Dr. Orban will need to remove a bit of enamel from your teeth. It’s a small amount, but makes all the difference in the way your veneers will fit. With this slim layer of enamel removed, your veneers will be flush and well aligned. After this step, will take impressions of your teeth that we’ll use in the office to make temporary acrylic veneers for you to wear while our cosmetic dental lab hand crafts your customized set. These will arrive in our office in just a couple of weeks. Dr. Orban will examine each one before permanently bonding it in place. Once the process is completed, you’ll see a smile that is straight, white, strong and well sized for your mouth and facial features.
